Cautions and interactions

• Vitamin supplements should not replace a balanced diet.
• Not recommended for use in pregnant or lactating women unless advised by your healthcare professional.
• Use of supplements containing ginkgo and garlic should be stopped at least two weeks prior to surgery.
• Supplements containing magnesium or zinc may affect the absorption or efficacy of some prescription medications. Separate by at least two hours.
• Use of supplements containing gymnema may increase the blood sugar-lowering effect of hypoglycaemic agents and insulin. Blood glucose levels should be carefully monitored.
• Concomitant use of garlic- or ginkgo-containing supplements and warfarin or other medications which affect blood clotting (including aspirin) may lead to an increased risk of bleeding.
